This series of briefing notes are designed to make you consider how you could best help yourself and your business improve performance, raise staff morale and achieve measurable business profitability.
Read them through and see if they spark some ideas in your own mind. If they do, then the very fact that they have triggered some thought processes will act as a precursor to a better business. Successful businesses don’t run on luck or good location, although both help; they are the result of team work and a motivated workforce.
If you have anything to contribute to our business briefings then please don't hesitate to email on firstname.lastname@example.org

MTD is now a legal requirement for all VAT registered businesses with a sales income over £85000 per annum.
Are you ready for “MTD” (Make Tax Digital), a warning to all businesses VAT registered following HMRC’s VAT Notice 700/22
From April 1st, 2019 HMRC will no longer allow businesses to keep paper records and input the return in the 9 boxes on line from them
Rules introduced under the “Making Tax Digital” initiative mean VAT registered businesses with taxable turnover above the VAT registration threshold need to keep digital records and submit VAT Returns to HMRC using compatible software to upload the input digitally without manual input.
Are you ready for the GDPR new format for data protection on 25th May 2018?
Now is the time to start preparing for the new GDPR act that will supersede the current DPA legislation.
The act although European in birth will continue with its tougher rules on data protection post Brexit Transition as it is being brought into force under the new British Data Protection Bill.
Applying for registration with the ICO and spending £35 in doing so does not complete your necessary task in compliance.
The new act puts teeth on the old act and creates a requirement for everyone keeping data to provide proof of compliance and as well as naming a designated data controller requires those processing data to be counted as data processors with responsibilities.
